Lifestyle & Discipleship

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34,35

We are called both to be disciples and to disciple others and part of being a disciple is to study the Word, both individually and collectively, to go deeper than one is able to go on Sunday mornings. We also recognise that at times people will struggle in their spiritual walk and their daily lives: it is at these times that we must ensure that we provide the spiritual, emotional and physical care that people need. At Station Hill Baptist Church we are constantly looking at ways to ensure that each individual is provided with the support that they need to grow in their faith and to be Christ-like in a broken world. Core to this are our House Groups where we provide discipleship and pastoral care mutually, as well as providing an environment for study and of course fellowship. Because of this we believe that House Groups are an essential part of church life and expect all of those committed to our fellowship to be committed to a House Group.

In addition to these we provide specific programmes that address other aspects of the Christian life:

There are also other ways our fellowship ensures that we provide care to all of those in our fellowship and often beyond into the community:
