But for Adam there was not found a helper fit for him. So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man. Then the man said, “This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.” Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.
Many of us know only too well the pressures of modern day life on marriage and it is the church’s responsibility to try and encourage and support people in their married life; it is all part of being discipled, but as a couple and not an individual. This is where The Marriage Course plays its part.
The Marriage Course is for all couples, regardless of where they are in their lives together. Taking part in a marriage course does not mean your marriage is in trouble, quite the opposite. It allows you to find time for one another and understand each other better.
The Marriage Course is run twice a year, if you would like to know when the next one is scheduled contact the co-ordinator.
“When we got married our minister ran a marriage preparation course that really blessed the beginning of our marriage. The course encouraged us to explore our relationship and led us to an openness with one another that has helped our life together over the years.”
